Birth is a mystery until your
baby lands on your chest.

Unfortunately, you can’t control how this day will take shape; how your body will respond to the hormones of labor, how you will react to your body’s way of working or even how your baby will cooperate with the labor you create…the only aspect of your birth that you can truly control and plan… is your Birth Team. The people who will hold you up, reassure you, support and care for you…a team that you trust, a team that YOU choose.

Having a Doula present for your birth can…

Offer you a Consistency of Care

Heighten likelihood of
Vaginal Birth

Increase Breastfeeding/ Chestfeeding Success

Lower Cesarean Section rates by 60%

Decrease Postpartum Depression

Facilitate Early Bonding

What’s Included in Your Doula Package

Your doula relationship begins long before labor — and continues well after your baby arrives. Our goal is simple: to help you feel informed, supported, confident, and deeply cared for throughout your entire journey into parenthood.

We can’t control how birth unfolds, but we can help you feel prepared, empowered, and surrounded by safety, trust, and joy on the day you meet your baby.

We work closely with you during pregnancy to help you feel ready — physically, emotionally, and mentally — for birth and beyond.

Your prenatal support includes:

  • Free virtual consultation to ensure we’re the right fit

  • Two prenatal visits

    • A group Zoom session with all ABB doulas (around 34 weeks)

    • A personalized in-home or agreed-upon meeting (around 37 weeks)

  • Guidance on:

    • Birth options and decision-making

    • Nutrition, movement, and preparation for labor

    • Comfort techniques and labor positions

    • Fear release and confidence building

    • Creating your birth vision and goals

  • Childbirth and breastfeeding/chestfeeding education

  • Ongoing support via emails, texts, and phone calls throughout pregnancy

Together, we help you build a “toolbox” of comfort measures and knowledge so you enter birth feeling confident and capable.

Prenatal Preparation & Support

When labor begins, your doula is fully present for you and your partner — offering calm, reassurance, and hands-on support every step of the way.

During labor, your doula will:

  • Create a calming environment with dim lighting, soothing sounds, and grounding support

  • Provide comfort techniques such as counter pressure, massage, and positioning

  • Guide your partner in how to support you effectively

  • Explain what’s happening as labor progresses

  • Help you understand your options and make informed decisions

  • Encourage and remind you of your goals

  • Hold space so you feel safe, heard, and supported

We listen, we guide, and we believe in you — because you deserve to love your birth experience.

Jasmine Middleton is a CAPPA trained birth doula, postpartum doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, and a peer breastfeeding counselor.  She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Physical Activity Management and Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University.  She has found a love for breastfeeding after having her son in 2018 and having the best lactation consultant.  She has expanded and embraced her purpose as a birth worker to become a doula.  Her oldest, Liam, was born via emergency C-section and her youngest, Ausar, was a VBAC, as a home birth.  She has breastfed both of them a total of 6 years. She has extended her knowledge by researching and learning from other mothers who breastfed their little ones in a Facebook Group.  She has had the opportunity to become a moderator in the same group.  She strives to assist mothers and their families by recommending evidence based research and a holistic approach during prenatal, natal and postpartum.  A mother and partner should be able to make their informed choice on what they decide is best for their baby. She is here to guide and support what decision is made.

    • Postpartum meal delivery

Tara Mitts is a doula, educator, and believer in the incredible, God designed strength within every woman. Her passion for birth began after hiring a doula for her second pregnancy, an experience that opened her eyes to what support, surrender, and confidence can truly look like in labor. Since becoming certified through MaternityWise in 2020, she has felt especially called to support women who desire an unmedicated birth. She loves helping mamas trust their bodies, release fear, and lean into the strength and peace God faithfully provides in the moments they need it most. As a Young Living Brand Partner, she also teaches families how to safely use essential oils during pregnancy and birth to support a calmer, more grounded labor experience. She also offers a postpartum meal service, providing nutrient dense and delicious meals delivered right to families’ front doors, found in the collective section.

Whether she is in the birth room, teaching a class, or preparing resources for expectant families, her heart remains the same: to help women feel confident, supported, and empowered as they bring new life into the world.
